Metallica Tabs
With album sales exceeding over 57 million, it’s no wonder that Metallica has some of the most sought-after guitar tabs; just look at the thousands of attempted Metallica tabs on the internet! And even though the members of Metallica are getting older and their style of music has evolved – just like every other musical act that has made it longer than 25 years – both young and old are still trying to play like them.
Born in 1981, thrash metal pioneers Metallica, has stood the test of time and are still playing like they’re in their 20’s! However, the reality is that all of the current members are all over 40-years-old, and still don’t seem to be slowing down. As they continue touring and pumping out records, fans continue to try their darnedest to play like guitarists, James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett.
Looking at all the figures: number of fans, albums, and record sales, it’s easy to see why so many people want to play like these guys. This is great because it means that there are oodles and oodles of people who are attempting to work on Metallica tunes and share those results on many website containing guitar tabs. The downside is that many of those tabs are for the same song, and a good majority of these tabs, based upon our experience, have several flaws; In some cases they may be totally wrong! The bigger problem is that a lot of these tabs are being written by young, inexperienced musicians who have the best of intentions, but are really just turning works of musical art into absolute ordure.
If you have the time to look around and search through the vast sea of Metallica tablature, you might just find yourself a gem or two; which may be well worth it to you, depending how interested you are in learning some of the great solos, riffs and leads that these guys have left for us to admire.
